The area with ruins next to the Kuchchaveli police station towards the sea is now known as Picchamal Viharaya. This temple is located in a very charming environment. It can be thought that the environment is protected because of the existence of a naval sub-base.

When you come from Trincomalee, turn left before the Kinnia Bridge and go about one and a half kilometers, you will find this wonderful beach.

If you look directly at the sea from here, you can see the opening of the Trincomalee port. Due to this, the ships entering the harbor can be closely monitored. A little to the right is Round Island and its lighthouse, a little to the left is "Elephant Island" and Elephant Point.
You can see the harbor on the left here.

Since the war, the Sri Lankan Air Force has been in charge of the security of this area. With the end of the war, the Air Force took over the management of "Marble Beach". And now they are running a wonderful resort here.

We hope this 360°/VR video will give you the same wonderful experience of Marble Beach!

And we remind you to enjoy the beauty of this beautiful environment without harming it 🙂
